The Scenic Rim is stunning in summer. This area of outstanding beauty is just 1 hour’s drive southwest of Brisbane. Summer sees crops in full production in the fertile agricultural valleys. The area is a valuable food bowl for Brisbane and beyond.

Come and explore the many boutique businesses in the Scenic Rim. You can try and buy so many great fresh products including sheep’s cheese, mushrooms, olives, garlic, wine, beer and so much more. Serious foodies will enjoy the unique, tasty and fresh ingredients.

The area abounds in cafes, restaurants and country pubs that all utilise the local produce. There are plenty of homemade jams, pickles, honey and other unique products such as artisan handcrafted carrot soap, sheep cheeses or camel milk vodka.

Come and share the passion of the growers and producers in the Scenic Rim. They value the clean air and healthy environment and the 'terroir' of the region. Learn more about the provenance behind the products. Many producers are committed to the health benefits of their products, such as camel milk, sheep’s cheese, or mushrooms.

The Boonah Country Markets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays offers an abundance of locally grown, locally made and locally crafted goods. Check out the local farm gate stalls for original local produce.

The Old Church Bed and Breakfast is the perfect base to head out and explore all this region has to offer. Enjoy fun days out, meeting the locals, taking in the stunning scenery, eating great food and relaxing with a glass of local wine in the late afternoon.
